Potty time already?

In March, MOPS had a swap where you could bring your stuff, kid or anything, and take stuff that other people brought. I brought an entire bag of kids stuff to get rid of, and returned with that bag full of stuff I brought home. One of those things was a Cars theme...hmmm, I am not sure what you call it....little potty insert that you put into the regular toilet seat that makes it easy/safe for little ones to sit on the toilet. We have one of the little potties that you sit on the floor, but I thought this might be of use. And it was free.

For a few days afterwards, anytime I would ask or tell the big boys to "go potty", Yannick would run get this potty insert. Because it is a "go" (his word for car) potty.

Tonight, he expressed interest sitting on it for the first time! This is a bittersweet moment in that potty training is such a hassle. In many ways diapers are easier, but you can't stay in diapers forever.

He did not last very long on the potty, but he was happy for a short while to be there.  Of course he did nothing on the potty, but at least he is getting used to sitting on it!
