"Sklar" Family Reunion - Day 1

From May 20 - May 24, the "Sklar" family, comprising of Sklar, Taylor, Counts, and Frazier, descended upon the Mammoth Cave area of KY for a family reunion.  Only Joanna, living in Guatemala, was not present.

Art, the boys, and I left mid-morning.  We were expecting a 7 hour drive, and that's close to what we had.  We arrived at the rental home just a bit before dinner and had dinner with Poppi and MeMa.  They had arrived hours earlier and were setting the place up for everyone.

It was a nice place, the picture hiding it's size.  It had one main floor with a large kitchen, dining area, and large living space. A full bath off the kitchen.  Upstairs were a large master bedroom for Poppi, MeMa, Zachary (sleeping bag) and Wyatt (pack n play).  Another full bath, a Q bedroom (Art and I), and a K bedroom (Staci & Creed).  Downstairs was a finished basement with another living space, a room w/ 2 bunk beds (for Joy & originally, Joanna), the laundry room (Joy brought all her dirty laundry with her!), and another full bath.  Zachary knew that Joy had a bunk bed, and was desperate to sleep there.  I told him that if he asked nicely, that perhaps Aunt Joy would allow him to take his naps in there.  It was a nice large house with space for everyone!  We all had dinner (leftover honey baked ham! YUM) together, and then some play time before bed.  The boys were a bit chatty at bedtime but it did not take long for them to turn in.  Joy was getting a ride up with Staci and Creed, and the three of them were not expected before 11pm or so.  No way we were waiting up for them, since we had to be up for an early departure for our 9:30am Mammoth Cave tour!
