The first thing we saw were a pair of large (10' tall probably) butterflies.
My favorite part about this unicorn is that both the mane and the tail are made of a plant called "horse hair". So lovely to see the thought and attention to detail that goes into these pieces.
Easily the most impressive - the Earth Goddess. She was over 20' tall and so amazing. This camera of course does not do her justice. The details were shocking. I love the water flowing over her hand. There were some benches in the shade which were nice to sit at and look at her.
Two boys attempting to look like this frog, though W did not want to participate, and was being a bit of a pill.
All of us with the cobra. So impressive. The boys of course wanted to send these pictures to DaU right away.
I like this one better.
This is the other cobra of the set.
then the ogre which was very cool. there was a tunnel you could walk under him and see the growing plants.
The cute poem that went along with the ogre. I occasionally feel like the boys vie for the title of awful ogre.
Then it was time for lunch. We were lucky and got a table by the fountain outside at the cafe. Dad sprung for lunch for the adults (though I did order a kids meal), while the boys ate their lunches from home. We had some time after lunch to go see the life-size berries
Blackberry
and then spend a bit of time at the children's garden. It had a cool treehouse with slide, some fun Peter Rabbit themed things. There were some cute pictures taken there, just not by me. Then we headed home, after a full day. It was a great outing!
Later in the afternoon, Zachary got to have some FaceTime with his Evanston best friend, David.
Both Wyatt and Yannick were interested in seeing David!
