Playdate Central
Sadly, no pictures to go with this post, but I wanted to include it so we would not forget it happened.
This has been a big week for playdates.
We have already had two playdates with another family that works well with us. The mom is a stay-at-home-mom with two boys, one in Zachary's class, and a younger one who is 3. Our three seem to get on very well with their two boys. In the last seven days, we have had two more playdates with them. The first at our house on May 9th. Oddly, Z did not want to get a ride home with Aidan; he preferred to ride the bus so he could chat with his other friend Jeffrey. Still, their family came over and stayed until our boys were eating dinner to prepare for date night (see previous post). Then the next playdate, we went to their house until Aidan had to go to his piano lesson. Nana had sent some birthday presents for Yannick and had included a present for each of the bigger boys, and Z needed to return his book, since we already had it. He had been dying to do this, so I took care of it after the playdate.
The next playdate was for Wyatt this time. His buddy from gymnastics class, Eli, came over today. It was not the best for them, bc Eli is mostly interested in trains, which worked out for Yannick, but Wyatt just played with legos the whole time with a girl whom Eli's mom babysits, who is 3. It was a very short playdate, only about 15 minutes actually before we had to go to gymnastics.
Zachary has a playdate scheduled with his buddy (and 4-square trainer) Jeffrey next Friday. Busy boys! That one will be wout the rest of us, which are less enjoyable for me...I like to have whole family (minus poor Art who has to work for a living), playdates.
