WI Farm Trip Begins!
Tuesday, July 6th. Art has a major meeting at work, so we can't leave for WI until after the boys have their nap. Art gets home early, which was a huge blessing, and we were out of the house before 5pm (the original ending time of his meeting). I packed dinner for us and the boys, and we hit the road. We were prepared for a 4 hour drive, and with the bit of traffic, it took us about 4.5 hours. We just made it as it was starting to get pretty dark. Through New Lisbon, WI (where Jess grew up) into Hustler, WI, and to the Barrett farm. Everyone waited up for us to get there, then went off to bed. We had planned on tent camping but it looked like rain, so Anna & Chad borrowed a 5th wheel camper for us, which was just wonderful! So much more comfy than tent camping for 3 nights!
Zachary showing us how full his belly is after eating all his dinner - now he's ready for a video!
Art slept in his green sleeping bag on one side of the camper
I slept on my grey sleeping bag in the middle, and the boys had bunk beds (so fun for Zach!) in the back of the camper.
It was a good set-up for us. The bathroom and sink were not set up, but that was fine as the house was only about 50ft away.
We settled down for a good night's sleep, thus starting our Wisconsin adventure.
